The speciality « Mathématiques Fondamentales et Applications » of the Master programme proposes a high level training in a broad area of modern Mathematics. This speciality provides an excellent preparation for entering a PhD programme and for the French recruitment examination « Agrégation », thus is ideal for students wishing to pursue a career in research or teaching in higher education. Openings are also available towards industries and services (banks, etc...) or towards entrance to a « Grande École » in France.
This is a 2-year programme divided into 4 semesters, and consists of lecture courses and the writing of a Master's thesis in the second year.
Programme : First year in 2011-2012 (M1) , Second year in 2011-2012 (M2) .
Courses will be given in French or English according to the audience and the lecturer.

To be admitted to this Master programme, the candidate is required to be in possession of the French « Licence » degree in Mathematics, or an equivalent diploma. Candidates may also be admitted directly to the second year if they are in possession of an equivalence for the completion of the first year Master programme.
